Dr Alexis Drutchas is a palliative care physician at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. With a background in family medicine and LGBTQ+ healthcare, she co-founded the Rhode Island Trans Health Conference and worked at Fenway Health before completing the Harvard Interprofessional Palliative Care Fellowship. Her expertise spans serious illness communication, health equity, LGBTQ+ health, storytelling, and community building. A 2020 OpEd Project Public Voices Fellow, her work has appeared in major publications. Originally from Detroit and Hong Kong, she now lives in Boston with her wife and son.
