In 2013, when our second daughter was just three weeks old, our world was turned upside down. My beautiful and beloved mother-in-law, Pearl, was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. She passed away just nine months later, but we treasured every moment we had with her in that time.

Pearl was a remarkable woman—a single mother who raised my husband on her own, pouring love, strength, and light into every life she touched.
