When our dear Great Grandad was receiving palliative care, our family all gathered around his bed. My daughter was going through her Great Grandma’s overnight bag and pulled out her undies, holding them up for everyone to see. We all laughed. Sharing that laugh together, despite the pain, is a memory I keep. Great Grandad could no longer speak but he said goodbye to us all by waving his pinky finger.
