This is my mum, in hospital after having her first mastectomy. 

I hope in this work, I have captured her aura and don’t give a damn attitude. 

The glasses one of many gag gifts given to her from loved ones prior to her surgery. The flower pillow made and donated by an amazing individual to help ease the discomfort. 

This one of my favourite images of her on my phone. It makes me laugh, reminds me of how understood, respected and loved she was and how she took challenges of life by the scruff of the neck and told them to get lost (her choice of words were a bit more vulgar)
