Artwork Description
Emerging from a deeply personal journey, Lawson Durbidge is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans music and visual arts. Living with disability since the age of nine, he has cultivated a profound creative voice shaped by his experiences of pain, loss, and gratitude—echoing the emotional narratives of others through his work.

His paintings, both intimate and large-scale, offer abstract explorations of people and places. Each piece serves as a reflection of inner landscapes and social fragments, rendered with a distinctive style that invites contemplation and connection. Driven by resilience and reflection, his evolving technique combines intuitive gestural forms with layered symbolism to challenge and comfort in equal measure.

Through his art, Lawson transforms lived experience into visual dialogue—building bridges across perception, emotion, and accessibility.
